Up and Running

Just wanted to put the first post on this blog and let people know what this is all about.

This blog was formed after reading a certain article regarding a certain group of people I now will associate myself with and call myself. We are called "Originalists". I would like this group to one day become a political party that the Republican party used to be a few years ago and the Democrat party used to be before then, decades ago.

We believe that the intelligent, capable men who wrote the Contitution had a specific meaning for what they wrote. They had many of the same activists and naysayers that we have today and put wording into that famed document that addressed almost all issues and why they were addressed in such a way. Clear, precise and to the point.

We also believe that Our Creator, be that God, Alah, Mother Gaia, or whatever deity you believe in, endowed us with certain rights that no government has the right to take away or grant to us. Alexander Hamilton was very clear on this, and also he did not want the Bill of Rights to even be the first amendments to the Constitution because he did not want the people of the United States of America getting used to the idea of the government granting us rights.

So, for this first post I will quote the introduction to the Constitution, which seems to state this quite clearly.

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

Just look at the wording. Very clearly, it states that the People of the United States form the government of the country. Now, if we grant the United States government the right to exist, which we do, how could the government then turn around and say that we are limited with what we say, what religion we practice or when we practice it, or if we have the right to defend our liberties.

PS. Also, we will be posting court opinions regarding such decisions as our rights and the interpretation of the Constitution. Lastly, we will also post about scientific discoveries because they can have great relevance to the discussion on this blog (and because I like nifty stuff like that).
